About Utah Motor Vehicle Division

The DMV is a division of the Utah tax commission that is solely responsible for issuing the titles and registration for all the vehicles in Utah including trucks, trailers, motorcycles, boats, off-highway vehicles and motor homes. One thing that you should know is that the Division of Motor Vehicles does not issue the driving license. The driving license is issued by the independent Driving License Division.

  • Enter the five digit zip code
  • Enter your license plate
  • Enter the VIN which is the last eight digits Vehicle Identification Number
  • Click on start renewal
  • Follow the instruction thereafter
