Method 1 – Using rubbing alcohol

Instructions
- Before you start the cleaning process, remove any excess material that may be present in the pipe.
- Gently tap on the pipe while holding it upside down to remove excess material in the pipe.
- Take a plastic re-sealable bag and fill it will rubbing alcohol.
- Place the pipe in the plastic bag and ensure that the pipe is completely submerged in the rubbing alcohol.
- Leave the pipe in the plastic bag overnight or for 8 to 10 hours
- Remove the glass pipe from the plastic bag and rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
- Use a cotton swab or pipe cleaner to remove excess residue that may be present in the pipe.
- Allow the pipe to dry completely before you start to use it again.
Method 2 – Using boiling water
Requirements
- A pot for boiling water
- Cotton swab or pipe cleaner
Instructions
- Fill the pot with water and place it on a stove. Bring the water in the pot to boil and then put the flame in simmer.
- Remove excess material from the pipe by gently tapping on it while holding it upside down.
- Place the glass pipe in the pot of boiling water. Ensure that the pipe is submerged completely in the water.
- Before you place the glass pipe in boiling water, warm it up by rubbing on it with your hands. If you put a cold pipe into boiling water, it can shatter.
- Let the glass pipe soak for about 20 to 30 minutes and then remove it from the pot.
- Use a pipe cleaner or cotton swab to clean the excess residue and let the glass pipe to dry out before using it.
- This method can fill your kitchen or house with a strong odor. Therefore, think twice before you use this method.
- Make sure you clean the pot used for boiling the pipe properly before using it for cooking.
