How to fix the Netflix “Too Many Devices Error”

Most people who use Netflix in more than one device would have encountered the “Too many devices” error message often. Netflix can be setup to stream in a maximum of six unique devices and whenever you try to connect the seventh device, this error will pop up. The solution to this problem is simple. The process will require you to log in to you Netflix account to deactivate some of the devices.

  • A PC or laptop with a secure and fast internet connection
  • Netflix username (email registered at Netflix) and password

Step by step instructions

  1. To access your Netflix account, go to www.netflix.com
  2. Click on the ‘Member Sign in’ link on the home screen to take you to the login screen of your Netflix account.
  3. Enter your registered email id and password to log in to your Netflix Account
  4. Click on ‘Your Account & Help’ link present on the upper right corner of the screen
  5. Then click on ‘Manage Netflix ready devices and computers’
  6. All devices that have been registered under your account will be displayed on screen.
  7. You can deactivate a device, by clicking on the ‘Deactivate’ button located next to the device.
  8. A Pop us box will appear asking for confirmation to deactivate the device. Confirm the action and the device will be deactivated.
  9. You can now add another device to your Netflix account, without encountering the ‘Too many devices’ error.
