About Hulu
Hulu is an online subscription service that provides ad-supported streaming videos of movies, TV shows and other media on demand. People from the US, Japan and overseas territories served by Hulu, can only access Hulu website. Hulu is available on many different devices including the Xbox 360, Roku, and many newer television sets and blu ray players (as well as other hardware devices). Hulu videos are streamed in flash format and users can choose from a range or resolutions that range from 288p to 1080p HD. Hulu is a joint venture between the following companies:

The funding for the project was provided by Providence Equity Partners, which then sold 10% of its stake in the company in October 2012.

Hulu Plus – Is it worth it?
Hulu Plus is an upgraded service provided by Hulu at $7.99 per month and will have limited advertising. Hulu Plus also offers current seasons of TV shows along with latest episodes and will only have a 30 second commercial break when compared to the 90 seconds commercial breaks for regular users. If you own Netflix, then Hulu Plus may not be such a wise decision to opt for as the services of Hulu Plus is below par when compared to Netflix.
