The U.S Army has more than 2.3 million active soldiers and marines all across the globe. This provides with a problem in communication between the soldiers and marines. To solve these communication problems the Department of Defense of the US Government created a central database that helped marines and soldiers to communicate with each other through the portal. If you are new to the US Army, you will have to register yourself at the Marine Online portal of the US Department of Defense for maintaining communication with other soldiers and marines.
Requirements to connect to Marine Online
- A PC or laptop with a stable and secure internet connection
- Must be a U.S Marine or Soldier
- Social Security Number
- Personal Details
- Pay Entry Base Date
- Military Occupational Specialty
Detailed Instructions
- To register at Marine Online, go to http://mol.usmc.mil/.
- A Warning Message will be displayed on screen. Read the message carefully and click on ’Agree’’
- If you have registered at the site, enter your User ID and password to access the Marine Online Portal.
- If you are a new user, click on ‘Don’t have an account, Register Here’
- Enter the following details in the displayed form
- First Name
- Last Name
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
- Pay Entry Base Date ( Information will be available in your LES (block 8)
- Primary MOS (Military Occupational Specialty)
- Contact Phone
- Preferred Password
- Select your security question and provide an answer to the question
- Click on ‘Submit’ to submit the form
- Follow the instructions on screen to complete the registration process.
- After registration, you can use your User ID and password to log in to the Marine Online portal.
