Detailed Instructions

1. To apply for Kentucky UI Benefit program, go to http://www.oet.ky.gov/ui/ui.htm.
2. Click on ‘Unemployment Claim Filing’ link present on the right Column of the page.
3. The link will be available only from 7 AM to 7 PM on Monday through Friday and from 10 AM to 9 PM on Sundays. All times indicated are Eastern Time
4. Alternatively, you can use the following link to access the registration page, https://uiclaims.des.ky.gov/eBenefits_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=Start&SWEHo=uiclaims.des.ky.gov
5. Click on ‘New User’ link on the displayed page.
6. Enter the following in the relevant boxes
   1. First Name
   2. Last Name
   3. Social Security Number
   4. 4 digit numeric PIN
   5. Select your security question and provide the answer for the question.
   6. Click on ‘Next’ to proceed
   7. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the registration
   8. You can now use your Social Security Number and PIN to log into the site and claim your UI benefit
