How to broadcast on Facebook Live?

Even though it was started as a feature that allows broadcasting only from your mobile devices, now it has been made available to be broadcast using your mobile or computer desktops too. Broadcasting your video in Facebook Live is pretty much simple and the steps outlined below will help you broadcast your first video on Facebook live easily.

Step 1 – To start with your broadcasting process, have your mobile phone switched on and open the  Facebook application

Step 2 – In the Facebook application, navigate to the News Feed section and click “Live” to go to Facebook  Live page

Step 3 – You can also go to the Facebook Live page from your Facebook profile page as well by choosing “what’s on  your mind” and selecting the “Live Video” option from the menu

Step 4 – If you are broadcasting for the first time, Facebook will request access to your mobile camera  and microphone and you won’t receive the prompt the next time you broadcast a video

Step 5 – Now it’s time to choose the privacy settings for the video. There are many types of privacy Settings like Public, Friends and Only Me. If you are posting a video for your business, then you can select the Public option or if you want only your friends to view the video select Friends options and if you want to test the Live video option, then select Only me and the video can be viewed only by you

Step 6 – Now add an attractive and compelling description to your broadcast as this description will  show up in other people’s news feed along with the video.

Step 7 – You can also tag your friends who are involved in the making of the video or casting the video or who you want to dedicate it to etc.

Step 8 – You can also tag your location if you want to

Step 9 – These kind of small things like adding location, description or adding an activity provides your video the required uniqueness and personalisation and also helps a lot in discovering your video to a great extent

Step 10 – Now it’s time to setup your camera view as you need to make sure the camera is positioned correctly before you go live.

Step 11 – You can also add filters, effects and also add some text on your video

Step 12 – Finally click the “Go Live” button to start broadcasting your first video.
