How to Register For Royal Mail Redelivery Services

Sometimes, the Post Office isn’t able to deliver an item to you. Maybe it was because nobody was available to sign for the item, or the size of the item was too large for your letterbox.

Now you can arrange redelivery quickly and conveniently direct from your computer, either to your own address, to your local Post Office branch or to another address in your same postcode area.

What you need to know:

The Royal Mail will hold items for 18 calendar days before returning them to their sender – any Redelivery date must be within 18 calendar days of the first delivery attempt.

Also, 48 working hours notice is required for a Redelivery (this will be the earliest date selectable online) – if your item is due to be returned prior to this point you will need to collect it from the address shown on the ‘Something for you’ card.

Step-by-step instructions for registering for redelivery services:

Whenever, you found a “Something For You” card while entering home, it’s the time to book a redelivery online. Arranging a redelivery on Royal Mail is a very simple process. Follow these steps:

  • Click on the link: www.RoyalMail.com/Redelivery to assess the redelivery webpage.
  • Click on’Book a Redelivery’ fill out Details from your card section.
  • Provide the Date on Card and Name on Card details; and the Address on card section will pop down.
  • Enter Flat, Property Number/Name and Postcode as shown on the “Something For You” card and click on Find Address. If the provided information is correct the complete address will appear below else a list will appear. Select the appropriate address from there.
  • If anything is missing or incomplete or you are facing difficulty in adopting abovementioned procedure, simply fill out complete address for redelivery manually, and check the box against appropriate Item.
  • Provide Number of Items and optionally Item Number.
  • Click on Choose When We Redeliver and provide preferred redelivery time and location.
  • Click on Check Details to review the booking and provide valid e-mail and phone number.
  • Click on Confirm Redelivery and all done.
